Warranty and Legal Guarantee

We are so confident in the quality of our products that we offer up to a 10 year warranty on our most popular range of sit stand desk frames. However, we understand that issues can arise with products from time to time, and we are here to help make the process as simple as possible.

Every product you buy from us comes with two separate protections:

  1. Your legal guarantee. The law gives you at least 2 years of protection against any lack of conformity, free of charge. This is your right under law, not something we grant. It applies whether or not a product is covered by the Desky warranty, and nothing on this page limits it.
  2. The Desky Warranty. A limited warranty we give on top of your legal guarantee, of up to 10 years depending on the product.

If something is wrong, you do not need to work out which one applies. We will apply whichever gives you the better outcome. For all warranty and product support issues, please submit a claim through the Warranty Claim Form.

Your Legal Guarantee

You are entitled to a minimum 2-year legal guarantee from the date you receive your goods. This is a mandatory right for all consumer purchases and exists alongside any commercial warranty Desky provides.

What is covered?

Your product must match its description, be fit for its normal purpose, and possess the quality, durability, and performance you can reasonably expect during this period.

Your remedies if a product is faulty

If a defect arises, you have the right to have it resolved free of charge (including parts, labour, and shipping). You have the right to choose:

  1. Repair or Replacement: We will complete this within a reasonable time and without significant inconvenience to you. We may only decline your choice if it is impossible or disproportionately costly compared to the other option.
  2. Price Reduction or Refund: If repair or replacement is impossible, delayed unreasonably, or if the issue is serious or recurring, you are entitled to a proportional price reduction or a full refund.

The Desky Warranty

This Limited Warranty is provided in addition to, and does not affect, your mandatory statutory legal guarantee rights under EU and national consumer law. Your statutory rights remain fully intact.

Desky’s Limited Warranty warrants that:

  • The purchased product matches the provided product description/specifications and any representations made about the product to you;
  • The product (excluding normal wear and tear) remains free from defects in materials and workmanship for the duration of the warranty period when installed, used and maintained correctly; and
  • The product is free from defects that prevent normal operation and function.

This warranty is valid from the date of delivery to you and only available to the original purchaser for the periods listed below. It covers products delivered to an address in a country we deliver to, and continues to apply if you later move the product within the European Union.

Our Remedy

During the warranty period, we will repair or replace any parts necessary to correct defects in materials or workmanship, and cover the cost of delivery to you:

  • While your legal guarantee applies (2 years from delivery), you have the right to choose between repair or replacement, as outlined above.
  • After that, for the rest of the Desky warranty period, Desky will make a fair assessment of the issue and determine whether a repair, replacement part, or full replacement product is the most appropriate solution. Desky will cover the costs of any such approved repair, replacement part, or replacement product, including delivery to you.

Replacement Parts and Installation

Where a replacement part is provided and we determine it can be safely installed by you, we will ship it to you with clear installation instructions. Certain products may need to be returned to us for repair or professional installation of replacement parts, and in that case we pay for the cost of the return and shipping to you.

If we determine a full replacement product is necessary, you will generally be responsible for its installation. However, if this replacement is provided under your statutory legal guarantee, we will remove the faulty product and assemble the replacement, or reimburse the reasonable cost of having that done. Any repair or replacement under this warranty is limited to the defective part, material, or product only.

What is Not Covered?

This warranty does not apply to issues resulting from:

  • Normal wear and tear (e.g., minor scratches, fading, or expected degradation of consumable parts);
  • Assembly, disassembly, or modification that does not follow our instructions;
  • Failure to follow provided safety warnings, setup, and operating instructions;
  • Exceeding the maximum rated weight capacity for desks, chairs, monitor arms, or accessories;
  • Failure to observe the required motor duty cycles of motorised products;
  • Use outdoors or in environments with high heat, high humidity, or high salinity;
  • Repairs, alterations, or modifications performed by anyone not authorised by Desky;
  • Defects caused by misuse, abuse, abnormal handling, negligence, impact, accident, fire, water damage, or electrical overload.

These exclusions apply to the Desky warranty only. They do not limit your legal guarantee.

How Do I Make A Warranty Claim?

All claims can be submitted through our Warranty Claim Form. Clear documentation of the issue will assist our ability to quickly and correctly identify the cause of the issue and help resolve it for you as quickly as possible.

Once your warranty claim has been submitted we will assess the claim and determine if we need any further details. We may require faulty parts to be sent back to our warehouse for inspection/assessment and in this instance, we will cover the associated costs.

We will notify you as quickly as possible of the outcome under this warranty and organise any repair, replacement part or replacement product needed. We keep your order, warranty and support records for at least the length of your product's warranty plus one year, and longer where the law requires, even if you delete your customer account, so we can deal with any claim you make. See our Privacy Policy for details.

Products Damaged In Transit

All products leave our warehouse carefully packed and in perfect condition. However, in the unlikely event that an item gets damaged in transit or part of a delivery is missing, notify us via the Shipping Form and we will resolve it for you.

Please provide your order details and, where you can, a clear photo or video of the relevant damage so we can organise a replacement part or product as quickly as possible and lodge a claim with the shipping carrier.

Outside The Warranty Period

Should an issue occur with a product after its warranty period has expired we stock replacements parts available for purchase. Please submit an enquiry through the Contact Form, so we can help diagnose the issue and advise what replacement parts and repair are needed to remedy the issue.
